MAKING A DIFFERENCE.
Volunteerism
Service is something Lincoln DPhiL continuously prioritizes. There are many opportunities in Lincoln, NE, and at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where the chapter can put hands together to make a big difference. Previously, Lincoln DPhiL has done service acts such as trash pickups at local public parks and campus grounds.

Sisters are motivated and dedicated to doing their personal service acts in programs of their choice. To put effort into spreading Asian awareness, our sisters have volunteered with the Asian Cultural & Community Center and volunteered in local schools. Some of our sisters volunteer at youth groups every weekend by taking on various leadership roles in their own communities. Lincoln DPhiL continuously seeks ways to give back to our community by taking time out of day to make an impact on those around us.
STRONGER BONES. STRONGER WOMEN.
Osteoporosis Awareness & Prevention
Osteoporosis Awareness and Prevention is Delta Phi Lambda’s national philanthropy. Our philanthropy is unique to the Greek community because of its preventative stance. We advocate living a healthy lifestyle and educating our youth to take preventive measures now so that they may reduce the chance of developing problems as they grow older. We strive to raise awareness on this subject, host events and conduct projects to raise money for different organizations focusing on Osteoporosis, but most importantly our partnership with Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation (BHOF). Women are at a substantially higher risk of suffering from low bone density. In addition, due to their smaller frames and diet, Asian women are at a higher risk of brittle bones and preventative measures should be taken now in our early adulthood.

Our sisters are trained peer educators through many different outreach programs for local communities to advocate for a healthy lifestyle, staying active, and eating more foods with calcium and vitamin D.

SUPPORT A NEBRASKA STUDENT.
First-Generation Students
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln chapter of Delta Phi Lambda has chosen First Generation Students as our chapter philanthropy. In dedication to our philanthropy, we are establishing UNL Delta Phi Lambda Sorority Inc. First Generation Student Scholarship. Our Sisters resonate with the experiences of fellow first-generation student members in our community including sisters of our own. We aspire to help navigate and support future collegiate students to achieve academic success for many years to come.
